Swearing in: 3k police personnel, fixed routes, security across state
Bengaluru: As many as 3,000 police personnel have been deployed surrounding the Vidhana Soudha, the venue for the swearing-in ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday to form JD(S)-Congress coalition government.
According to city police commissioner T. Suneel Kumar, security has been beefed up across the city to avoid untoward incidents and no protests have been allowed near the Soudha.
The Soudha will be guarded by four Deputy Commissioners of police, 20 Assistant Commissioners of police, 150 inspectors, hundreds of constables, 10 platoons of Karnataka State Reserve Police, 10 platoons of Central Armed Forces. Dog squad, Anti Sabotage Squad and Fire and Emergency Service personnel have been deployed at the venue which is expected to have lakhs of participants. Additional Commissioner of Police (West) BK Singh is the security in-charge.
Security has also been beefed up across the state especially in sensitive areas as state police have left no stone unturned in the deployment of the security personnel.

Vehicles from Queens Road, Shivajinagar move from Balekundri Circle to traffic HQ Jn., - Patta Jn., - rt turn –Rajbhavan Rd – Rajbhavan Jn., - L.H. Road – Chalukya Circle –lt turn – Palace Rd – Maharani Service Rd – Seshadri Rd – K.R.Circle. l Buses from Old Post Office Road, Seshadri Rd to Dr. Ambedkar Rd are restricted at K.R.Circle. These should move on Nrupathunga Road and ahead. Cars, two wheelers can move upto Gopala Gowda Circle from K.R.Circle on Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Road. These can go towards M.S .Building, HC, into Cubbon Park.
Buses from Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagar, Channapatna should move on Mysore flyover Down Ramp – S.J.P. Road – Town Hall – N.R.Jn., - Police Corner – Rt. Turn Hudson Circle – De-Bus at Kasturba Road in front of Kanteerava Stadium, move towards Palace Ground via Siddalingaiah circle – Kasturba Road – Queens Circle – Anil Kumble Circle – B.R.V.
