A group of parents on Monday attended a meeting with the management after which the situation turned chaotic.

Bengaluru: A day after parents protested at Baldwin's Co-Education Extension High School in R.R. Nagar seeking clarification on books and uniform supply intimated by school authorities, the education department has served a notice to the management seeking an explanation.

Mr Ashwath Narayan Gowda, DDPI, Bengaluru South, has called for a meeting on Wednesday where the school management has to explain the situation. "Though such allegations have been made vaguely against different institutions over time, this was the first complaint that directly mentioned a school's name," he said. Parent representatives are also expected to attend the meeting at 4 pm at District Education Regulatory Authority office in the presence of the committee set up by the education department.

A group of parents on Monday attended a meeting with the management after which the situation turned chaotic. A parent who was at the meeting said it became ugly after the principal refused to answer their questions. "How can the school force us to take books and uniforms from only a private vendor they suggest at a hotel room guarded by bouncers," asked the parent.
