N Chandrababu Naidu conducts meeting at Praja Vedika on issues

Mr Naidu said that the election code is coming in the way in the selling of produce by farmers.

Vijayawada: To avoid any criticism that party activity has been conducted in a government facility, that too when the model code of conduct is in place, TD supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu formalised the Monday meeting at Praja Vedika with party MLAs, saying that it was conducted to review problems being faced by people during summer.

YSRC general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy has already lodged a complaint with the Election Commission on government conducting a party meeting at the government facility Praja Vedika.

Mr Naidu said that the election code is coming in the way in the selling of produce by farmers, particularly on issues like drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation. He demanded that the Election Commission of India direct its officials to ensure that development activities are not hampered in the name of the election code. At the same time, he asked the ECI to give directions not to create an environment that affects law and order.
