Krishna district benefits from state bifurcation with improved infrastructure

After the state bifurcation, Krishna district has been getting developing vastly when it comes to infrastructure.

Vijayawada: After the state bifurcation, Krishna district has been getting developing vastly when it comes to infrastructure. Taking advantage of the capital region in the district, the district administration has been executing different projects. As Vijayawada is a major part of Krishna district, development of Vijayawada has been influencing the image of the district. Flyovers, highway expansions, international status to airports, new railway lines, bridges, are all under process.

This is set to change the geographical picture of the district. The port planned at Machilipatnam is a big game changer. As a part of the capital region, the administration has been making efforts to implement government schemes and projects perfectly. In many categories like pollution control, solving non-financial applications of RTGS, garbage management, vermi compost and so on the district has consistently been getting a better rank in the review of real time governance. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has mentioned the merits of collector B. Lakshmi Kantham for his administration.

The drinking water project for all villages has been executed in Krishna district as a pilot project. Durga temple flyover, Benz circle flyover, Machilipatnam highway expansion are all under process. The collector said, “Durga temple flyover will be completed by August. Meanwhile, funding was a major problem, but now, the state government has solved that. Benz circle flyover is also going to completed by August. At the same time, Machilipatnam highway will also be opened.”

Light Metro, Bandaru Port have not yet started. Mr Lakshmi Kantham told to DC “On Light Metro, along with AMC chairman Ramakrishna Reddy, Commissioner of Police Gowtham Sawang and others are going to study the projects in France and Germany. Bandaru port, the budget proposals have to be cleared."
