Hyderabad: Footover bridges, skyways tenders finalised

On its part, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has proposed to construct 23 skywalks.

Hyderabad: The GHMC has finally managed to finalise tenders for 52 footover bridges and eight skyways in the city. The government has already accorded administrative sanction for Rs 207 crore for the project. On its part, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has proposed to construct 23 skywalks.

The government had directed the GHMC to call for tenders for 52 FOBs and eight skywalks at the earliest and draw up packages that would reputed agencies. Of these, 39 FoBs costing Rs 75 crore will be built using HMDA funds and the rest will be constructed using GHMC funds.

The FoBs and skywalks will come up at the following locations: Chilkalaguda road towards Musheerabad near Secunderabad station (21.65 mts) IDPL bus stop, Prashanthnagar (17.80 mts) Near Allwyn crossroads, Miyapur (34.40 mts) Near Uppal Ring Road towards Uppal/ Ghatkesar (13.50 mts).
