Petition in SC against Inter Board results

Petitioner also sought action against the concerned Inter Board authorities for making errors in declaring the results without proper verification.

Hyderabad: A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court against the Intermediate results fiasco. The petition was filed by Balala Hakkula Sangham, an NGO urging the court to direct the state government to pay compensation to the families of students who committed suicide after the results of the exam were announced in April 2019.

The petitioner also sought action against the concerned Inter Board authorities for making errors in declaring the results without proper verification.

Earlier, the petitioner had approached the High Court of Telangana, on the same grounds, including re-evaluation of the answer sheets of nine lakh Inter students who had appeared for the inter exams.

But, the High Court observed that there was no grave error on the part of the state government and the Inter Board in the valuation of the answer sheets of the inter students and in declaring the results.
