Kamal Haasan's Yatra begins from Kalam abode

Rameswaram: Describing him as his ‘role model’, actor Kamal Haasan launched his political journey from the house of late President APJ Abdul Kalam here on Wednesday, promising to be as simple and transparent as the great man who strived through life to ignite amid the youth a million dreams for a resurgent India.
“As an actor, I have lived in the hearts of my fans but now I want to live in the people’s homes (in the new political avatar)”, Kamal told reporters after visiting the Kalam House to seek the blessings of the former President’s centurion brother Mohamed Meeran Lebbai Maraikayer and having breakfast with the family.
