Madhya Pradesh: Man cuts off wife's nose

Bhopal: In a barbaric incident, a drunken man in a Madhya Pradesh town on Saturday fiercely bit her wife’s nose cutting it off her face. He later fled with the severed nose. The incident took place in the district headquarters town of Gwalior.

Subhas Singh (42) came home drunk and started quarreling with his wife, Chandra (36), when she asked him to stop creating nuisance in house, police said.

Later, he beat her black and blue. “He held my neck and bit my nose cruelly to split it off my face. He put the severed nose in his trouser pocket and fled home,” police quoted Chandara as saying.

“A case has been registered under appropriate sections of IPC against the accused following the complaint by her wife. He was absconding,” Gwalior town police station in-charge Dasarath Singh said.
