Power lines are pigeons resting spot at Eraggada Station

The Eraggada Fruit Market and three hospitals are in the vicinity of the Metro station.

Hyderabad: Pigeons have started using the electric lines at Eraggada Station as a resting spot. It is only within this 50-metre stretch that birds are seen perched on all three electric lines.

The Eraggada Fruit Market and three hospitals are in the vicinity of the Metro station. ESI Hospital, which is on the opposite side, provides the birds with a patch of greenery that they were previously found to inhabit. There used to be trees along the pavement, which have been cut down to make way for road extension works and metro rail works. And so the birds have had to find a new spot for themselves.
