Minor pending works of Hyderabad Metro Rail to be finished soon

Mr Nimbargi said that minor pending works will be completed shortly and the complete 30 km stretch will be ready for operations.

Hyderabad: The much-awaited authorisation from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) for the Mettuguda to SR Nagar line of the Metro Rail was cleared by the CMRS and the railway safety commission. A letter to this effect was sent to L&T on Monday.

Speed trials were also carried out. Now, much to the relief of everyone, the Mettuguda-SR Nagar section via Ameerpet interchanging station has received clearance.

Shivanand Nimbargi, managing director of LTMRHL said, “This authorisation will enable us to operate the Metro trains from Nagole to Miyapur via Ameerpet interchange metro station seamlessly.

“CMRS approval for Nagole to Mettuguda and Miyapur to SR Nagar has already been received.”
