TS DOST 2020: Telangana Degree admissions to begin from August 24

TSCHE introduced additional services to DOST platform to ease COVID-19 burden, like Real Time Digital Face Recognition to avoid human touch

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) issued a notification for opening of the online DOST portal for undergraduate degree admissions in the state, to commence from August 24.

Students can register on DOST by paying a registration fee of Rs. 200. After the registration, students will get DOST ID and PIN, that is to be used to open the application form. Students must exercise web options by choosing the course and college of their preference by giving priority numbers according to which seats will be allotted. After this, if students are satisfied with the seat allotted, can proceed to confirm the seat by online self-reporting.

Students who are allotted to government/university colleges and are not eligible for ePass fee reimbursement will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1000 for online self-reporting, whereas those alloted private colleges and are eligible for e-Pass reimbursement need to pay an amount of Rs. 500. Students allotted to government colleges and eligible for ePass reimbursement, however, will not be required to pay any amount. All candidates will further be required to visit their respective colleges to submit the required documents and fee from October 8 to October 12 to confirm their seats.

TSCHE has also introduced additional services to the DOST platform to ease the COVID-19 burden on students, like Real Time Digital Face Recognition to TApp Folio to avoid human touch. An online grievance system has also been introduced to resolve the issues of students on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter ad Youtube.
