Seer moves Hyderabad High Court over Telangana externment

The petition says one of essential conditions required for externment was that the person must be a goonda.

Hyderabad: Paripoornananda Swamy, the founder of Sreepeetham, on Friday moved the Hyderabad High Court challenging the orders passed by Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda police chiefs externing him from Hyderabad.

The seer moved three separate petitions questioning the validity of the orders passed by the three police commissioners on July 10, 14 and 15 externing him from the city for a period of six months under the Telangana Prevention of Anti Social and Hazardous Act 1980.

The Sreepeetham founder contended that the externment orders are illegal and they suffer from the want of jurisdiction.

To pass the externment order under the Act of 1980, one of essential conditions was that the person must be a goonda and the orders, which were passed by the authorities, have make no mention as to how they arrived at a conclusion that the seer is a goonda. He urged the court to declare his externment as illegal and unconstitutional.
