Bengaluru: In a reshuffle the state government transferred 18 IPS officers on Friday. The post of Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in the city, which was lying vacant, has been filled with the posting of Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration) R. Hitendra.
ADGP Padam Kumar Garg, who was Managing Director of the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation Ltd (KSPHC), has been posted as Principal Secretary, Home Department (PCAS). The government has also transferred DGP and Chairman of the KSPHC, Susant Mahapatra, but he has not been provided any posting. ADGP T. Suneel Kumar, who was in the Internal Security Division, has been posted as the Chairman and Managing Director of the KSPHC. IGP of Western Range Amrit Paul has been posted to Internal Security Division in the existing vacancy.
J. Arun Chakravarthy, who was IGP of Central Range, has been posted as IGP of Western Range. He is replaced by Seemanth Kumar Singh, who was IGP (Administration) in the police chief office. DCP (East) N. Sateesh Kumar as posted as SP of Ramanagar district, and has been replaced by Dr Chandragupta, who was SP at Ramanagar. Kaushlendra Kumar, who was SP in SIT, Bengaluru, has been posted as DCP (Crime), Bengaluru, which was vacant. He has been replaced by B. S. Lokesh Kumar, who was DCP (South). Meanwhile, SP (Intelligence) P. Rajendraprasad and SP of Kodagu district, Vartika Kaiyar, have been interchanged. R. Ramesh, SP, Lokayukta, has been posted as Deputy Commandant General, Home Guards and Ex-Officio Deputy Director of Civil Defence.
SP of Haveri district N. Shashi Kumar has been posted as SP of Kalaburagi district. Amit Singh, who was in Kalaburagi, has been posted as SP of Bengaluru Rural district, replacing B. Ramesh, who was transferred to Haveri. Dr. S. D. Sharanappa, who was SP of Dakshina Kannada district, has been posted as DCP (South) in Bengaluru. He was replaced by CID SP Bhushan Gulabrao Borase.
