BENGALURU: The Lokayukta Special Court has reserved the order in connection with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s expensive watch case till December 3. The court will order whether the case is fit for investigation or not.
The complainant, social activist Abraham T.J., had argued that though complaints were registered with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), no action was taken and requested the court to issue an order to investigate the case, as the case was fit for investigation.
Abraham had filed a private complaint in the Lokayukta Special Court on October 7 in connection with three cases, including the one in which the CM and PWD Minister H.C. Mahadevappa were gifted Hublot watches worth Rs 45 lakh each.
The complaint was also filed against Executive Engineer, PWD, deputed to BDA and In-Charge of Kempegowda Layout L. Raghu, KSPCB Chairman Lakshman, Dr Girish Chandra Verma, a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at NMC Specialty Hospital in Dubai, and Karan, a smuggled goods trader at National Market in Majestic.
The compliant was filed as the ACB failed to register an FIR on the complaint filed in connection with Hublot watch controversy, on May 13 this year.
