Hyderabad: Municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao urged GHMC and HMDA officials to develop slip roads and main roads in the western part of the city on a war-footing.
Addressing a review meeting, Mr Rao stated that identifying possible locations for such roads across the IT corridor should be taken up on priority. He directed the officials to find out locations that needed new roads. He instructed municipal administration officials to initiate talks with railway officials with regard to construction of road underbridges and overbridges.
Mr Rao asked officials to come up with a draft plan for laying link roads from Borabanda to Miyapur main road to Hitec City and Madhapur. Link roads and main roads will be laid from Jubilee Hills to Knowledge City and Old Bombay Highway.
He said that the government will develop arterial roads from Financial District to Kokapet, Tellapur, Nizampet, Kukatpaly, Hafeezpet connecting Outer Ring Road.
