Hyderabad: BITS-Pilani holds colloquium

Hyderabad: BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad, held its inaugural colloquium on Monday. The administration hopes to conduct seminars and cultural events for science and humanities streams students throughout the year.

MS Ananth, director of IIT- Madras who attended the event, said, “The main function of a university is imparting education. It has many social roles but all of them flow from this main idea. Freedom for students and faculty to innovate and learn is crucial for the modern university to flourish.”
