Pressure in Bay of Bengal to get Telangana more rains

On Sunday, Hyderabad received 0.5mm of rainfall.

Hyderabad: Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal off West Bengal and Odisha coasts, a low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal and the neighborhood.

Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem, Mancherial, Jagitial, Rajanna Siricilla, Peddapalle, Karimnagar, Bhupalpally, Warangal, Badradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Suryapet, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Kamareddy.

Hyderabad is expected to have generally cloudy skies with a few spells of rain or thundershowers at the beginning of the week, while rain or thundershowers would occur towards evening or night mid-week.

On Sunday, Hyderabad received 0.5mm of rainfall. Since June, the capital city had got 300.4 mm. As per India Meteorological Department, due to low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal, cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwest wards with height. It is likely to become more marked during the next 24 hours. The East and West shear zone is between 3.1 and 7.6 km above mean sea level roughly along latitude 21$b0N now seen between 3.1 and 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height roughly along latitude 20$b0N across central India.

A cyclonic circulation lies over North Interior Karnataka and the neighbourhood at 7.6 km above mean sea level.
