Hyderabad: BJP spokesperson M. Raghunandan Rao has moved a PIL before the Hyderabad High Court seeking to direct the TS government to transfer the ongoing probe into the Miyapur land scam case to the CBI.
Mr Rao submitted that several individuals and government officials have whisked away 682 acres of government land with the help of forged documents. He said that the police failed to arrest P. Sanjiv Prasad, the alleged kingpin.
Mr Rao said that if there was no unbiased probe into the scam, the loss to the state exchequer would be about Rs 1,000 crore.
