Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged the officials concerned to develop greenery in Amaravati capital region to bring down the hot temperature by 100C.
He inspected the Central nursery being developed by Amaravati Development Corporation Limited and the progress of ongoing works of roads and various buildings in the Capital region on Saturday.
Later, speaking to mediapersons, the Chief Minister said that works of total 32 roads, on a stretch of 320 km are in progress. He said that construction of houses for All-India Service officers, NGOs and weaker sections are also under progress.
The CM said that 5,000 houses would be constructed for the weaker sections and 2,000 houses for the NGOs. Mr Naidu said that the officials are using Myvan technology of Malaysia for construction which would help to complete the slab and wall works of any building in one day. He said the construction of 6 G+12 towers with 144 flats in 3,500 sq. ft. plinth area each are under progress for All-India Service officers.
The Chief Minister said that priority would be given for greenery and landscape in Amaravati Capital region. He said that Amaravati will stand out as the best city in planning and greenery. He said that the construction of District Courts are under progress and it would be used as a transit High Court.
Mr Naidu said that tenders were called for works worth '2,400 crore in the Capital region in the first phase. He opined that the Central government should come forward to extend financial assistance to the state government in capital building. He alleged that some parties are resorting to mudslinging though Amaravati capital works are under progress. He said the state will lose investments with the ongoing false campaign.
