Telangana: RTA offers small relief on charges

An official from RTA said that the department would upgrade the software and other applications as per the revised gazette.

Hyderabad: The Central government has issued a revised gazette notification with some modifications that will give some relief to motorists, on revised fee structure for the services offered by RTA.

The revised notification says only Rs 50 will be charged for providing duplicate vehicle registration certificate as against Rs 300 mentioned in the earlier gazette.

Similarly, other vehicles including auto-rickshaws and light motor vehicle owners need to pay Rs 300 against Rs 500 for the same service.

An official from RTA said that the department would upgrade the software and other applications as per the revised gazette issued by the government as soon as possible. Compared to other services, the number of applications towards duplicate registration certificates is very low. We will implement it from Friday,” the official said.
