The government has not revealed the details so far to the investigation agencies to proceed further against the erred.

Vijayawada: The state government’s silence on the inquiry report over the involvement of former joint director (industries) C. Rami Reddy in the Rs 1,990-crore incentive scam is leading to several suspicions. The government has not revealed the details so far to the investigation agencies to proceed further against the erred.

A few bureaucrats are reportedly trying to calm voices against the alleged largescale corruption that took place in the state industries department.
A letter digitally signed by the director, industries and commerce, Kartikeya Misra on May 2, 2016, sent to the secretary, industries and commerce, mentions the opening of a second current account (No. 34918320799) with the SBI Gowliguda, Hyderabad, branch in the name of commissioner of industries. It also mentions a report on the Government Memo No. 10532/Vig.A2/2015, dated June 23, 2015, on a reference of AP Vigilance Commission on certain complaints on Mr Rami Reddy and three others.

The letter mentioned certain irregularities in incentives and a subsequent inquiry that was ordered. Industries additional secretary B. Suresh Babu conducted this inquiry. The accounts department of the directorate of Industries initially brought this issue to the notice of the authorities through an internal note on November 2, 2015.

A departmental inquiry was ordered and the government told to furnish a report on the complaint petition filed by the Jana Jagrithi Seva Samithi against Mr Rami Reddy and others.

A thorough audit of all transactions related to incentive releases ever since such releases were being administered through RTGS/NEFT route was also ordered.
The inquiry report established that Mr Rami Reddy had opened an unauthorised current account with SBI Gowliguda May 8, 2015, which was a gross violation of CCA Rules and Financial Code.
