Andhra Pradesh: Sai subtle body' attracts many to Meddenahalli

Devotees belive in transferring of eternal powers to Baba's alumni student Madhusudhan Rao.

Anantapur: A lot of people with a strong belief in ‘subtle body’ of Sri Sathya Sai Baba are flocking to Meddenahalli campus, located on NH44 in Bagepalli Taluk of Karnataka, with many sharing amazing experiences with the subtle body and transferring of eternal powers to his alumni student Madhusudhan Rao Naidu.
Because of this, Meddenahalli campus is competi-ng with Prasanthi Nila-yam, though the latter has Mahasamadhi of Baba.

An alumnus of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Madhusudhan Rao Naidu joined the Brindavan campus in 1996 to pursue Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, for which he received the gold medal. He then went on to complete his Master’s degree in Chemistry on Prasanthi Nilayam campus. Later on, he enrolled into the MBA programme at the Institute, again winning the gold medal from Swami for standing first in his class.

Sharing his experiences, Madhusudhan Rao Naidu recalled: “Swami kept on coming every day and kept speaking to me in Telugu, which I could clearly understand, of course, it still was a little strange.” Dr. Géza Sebastian, a doctor and psychotherapist practising in Germany, has been an ardent devotee of Baba since 1984.

Together with his wife, Ms Gisela Sebastian, they have been serving the mission for more than 30 years and carried out several Sai projects in Germany. The couple said they were invited by Baba’s subtle body to Meddenahalli. Noted santoor maestro Pt. Shivakumar Sharma, retired chief engineer Ko-ndal Rao and several noted persons were among those who shared experiences with Baba’s subtle body. A builder from Puttaparthi said many foreign devotees were getting diverted to Meddenahalli instead of staying at Puttaparthi.

“The Meddenahalli campus is also being built with apartments for foreign devotees,” he said and added that they were performing similar rituals and celebrations similar to the ones at Prasanthi Nilayam. A former trustee of Prasanthi Nilayam was shifted to Meddenahalli after the demise of Baba. “He donated property worth of more than Rs 120 crore to Meddenahalli Ashram,” sources said.
