Tirupati: Minister P. Narayana said that they would complete Penna Barrage works by March 2018.
Mr Narayana directed the contractors and irrigation officials to speed up the barrage works. Further, Narayana participated in ‘Intintiki Telugu Desam’ party programme at Deenadayal Nagar.
The minister sanctioned Rs 25 lakh for an approach road for the colony in the 4th division. He distributed sewing machines to the women and inaugurated training centres in the division. He also directed the officials to install street lights in Deendayal Nagar within 15 days.
He further asked officials to invite tenders for drainage works in the division.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that the Chief Minister will be inaugurating the Penna Barrage and explained that they would provide drinking water to Nellore after the barrage is completed.
