Vijayawada: Telugu Desam state president and energy minister Kimidi Kala Venkat Rao said that YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had become a tool in the hands of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
In an open letter to Mr Reddy he said, “You are becoming a tool in the hands of KCR in the conspiracy to ensure that Andhra Pradesh is without drinking water. Can’t you see that KCR is acting against the Bachhawat, Brijesh Tribunals and the Bifurcation Act? It is a world-known truth that your party members are the prime contractors of the illegal projects of KCR.”
Mr Venkat Rao added, “There is a fear in your mind that the benefits of the project, the commissions that are coming through your contractors, will be stopped if they were talked about. You are directly or indirectly helping those contractors. As an Opposition leader, do you ever open your mouth against the illegal projects of KCR?”
“We went to jail along with Chandrababu Naidu to fight against the 11 illegal projects when we were in Opposition. As an Opposition leader you never condemned even once against the conspiracies which were aimed to turn the state into a desert. The waters that were taken, from Srisailam to Kalwakurthi lift irrigation project, showed less with the false calculations. You did not dare to react even when the Telangana government prepared the project designs to use 120 tmc waters in Palamuru, Rangareddy and Dindi lift irrigation projects,” Mr Kala Venkat Rao said.
