Andhra Pradesh minister wants Sabari tradition maintained

However, everyone is bound to respect the verdict of the Supreme Court, he told HC here on Friday.

PAMPA: Andhra Pradesh minister for forest and environment Sidha Raghava Rao on Friday said the traditions of Sabarimala should have been maintained by restricting young women entering from sanctum sanctorum of the temple. However, everyone is bound to respect the verdict of the Supreme Court, he told HC here on Friday.

“I am not in a position to take a call against the Supreme Court,” he said. “The Supreme Court is supreme in a democracy.” Mr Rao, who has been visiting the temple for last two decades, said the government has provided the devotees better facilities for a smooth darshan. “All in my family traditionally are Ayyappa devotees,” he said.
