Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday visited Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospitals, here, and wished her speedy recovery after enquiring about her health. The 58-year-old official had been admitted to hospital following an injury she sustained after a fall. The CS was getting into her car at the secretariat when she slipped and fell down. This 1981 batch IAS officer was appointed as the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu government late last year.
