Congress demands more quota for Muslim community

Sudheer Commission has made an honest attempt to prepare a comprehensive report on the backwardness of the Muslim community.

Hyderabad: A delegation led by Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee Minorities department chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail on Saturday demanded an increase in quota for Backward sections of Muslims besides inclusion of left out groups in reservation net.

The delegation submitted a representation to the TSCBC, and pointed out various difficulties and legal hurdles faced by Congress governments in implementing Muslim reservation, which is continuing in the state due to a stay granted by the Supreme Court.

The delegation said the Sudheer Commission has made an honest attempt to prepare a comprehensive report on the backwardness of the Muslim community.
