Judgement is a good sign: Chandrababu Naidu

The CM said that the government wanted to build a dynamic capital city with modern technology.

Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) judgment, and said, “This is a good sign. From now onwards, construction of the capital city will be done faster.” A Joint Implementation Steering Committee (JISC) meeting was held on Friday at the Secretariat, where the CM and Iswaran, Singapore minister, were present. The meeting discussed setting up of Amaravati Planning, Design and Research Institute and Capital Region Investment Promotion Agency.

The CM said that the government wanted to build a dynamic capital city with modern technology. In the coming days, electric vehicles will be given priority in Amaravati and 1,500 electric vehicles will be introduced, he added. The CM also held discussion with Mr Iswaran. A consortium of Ascendas-Singbridge and Sembcrop of Singapore was awarded the development of start-up area of the capital city in the Swiss Challenge mode. The start-up area is located within 20 square kilometres along the River Krishna. The CM asked the Singapore minister to take up the start-up area development.
