Rahul Gandhi's shocker: No Telugus in Congress Working Committee

INTUC President Sanjeeva Reddy was appointed as a special invitee of CWC.

HYDERABAD: AICC President Rahul Gandhi has given a big shock to the Congress leaders of both Telugu states as not a single leader from the two states got a main place in the highest decision making body of the party Congress Working Committee (CWC). Congress circles thought senior leaders like S. Jaipal Reddy, former Union Ministers S. Satyanarayana, Balaram Naik from Telangana and former Union ministers Chinta Mohan, M.M. Pallam Raju and Panabaka Lakshmi may get a place in the CWC.

Jaipal Reddy and Chinta Mohan had worked as CWC members earlier. INTUC President Sanjeeva Reddy was appointed as a special invitee of CWC. He was selected as a special invitee due to his post now. Telangana Congress affairs in-charge R.C. Khuntia was appointed as a permanent member of the CWC and AP Congress affairs in-charge Oomen Chandy was appointed as a member in the CWC.
