EPS releases souvenir on AIADMK’s 3-year achievements

The souvenir highlights the achievements of the Edappadi Palaniswami-led government which have left an imprint on the socio-economic sectors.

CHENNAI: Consolidating all the policy pronouncements, programmes and achievements of the Edappadi K Palaniswami-led AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu in the last three years, a special souvenir in Tamil was released by the Chief Minister at the Secretariat here on Monday.

A beaming Mr Palaniswami, handed over the first copy of the document, titled 'Amma Arasin Muthirai Patitha Moondru Aandu, Mudhal Idame Adharku Saandru', to the Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. O. Panneerselvam at a simple function in the presence of ministers and top officials including Chief Secretary K Shanmugam. The publication is by the State Information department.

The souvenir highlights the achievements of the Edappadi Palaniswami-led government which have left an imprint on the socio-economic sectors.

Topping among them are the 'Kudimaramathu' schemes to rejuvenate water bodies across the state, declaration of Cauvery delta area as 'Protected Agriculture Zone', carving out of five new districts, getting Centre's sanction for an unprecedented new 11 medical colleges in 11 districts, foreign tour of the Chief Minister to attract fresh industrial investments and launch of a police app to ensure women's security. All these achievements were reflected in the several national-level awards received by the Tamil Nadu government in recent months.

The Chief Minister also released separate documents on district-wise achievements of the AIADMK government that was received by the State Information minister Kadambur Raju. A short film and CD on the highlights of the government's performance was also released.

A coffee-table book 'Kaala Peyzhai' was also released by the Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami, which was received by the Chief Secretary. Information department secretary Mahesan Kasirajan welcomed the gathering and Information director, P Sankar, proposed a hearty vote of thanks.
