Title deeds for migrant farmers in Moonuchain

Kottayam: Revenue minister E. Chandrasekharan has assured title deeds to migrant farmers in the Moonuchain region near the Idukki reservoir if there the KSEB has no objection. He was speaking at Kumily after the distribution of 8,900 clear titles in the district, including Erattayar and Adimaly, considering the consistent demands of migrant farmers, dropping conditions on the transfer of loans and felling trees.

Moonnuchain region comprises Upputhara and Ayyappankoil. Electricity minister M.M. Mani who was present said that the KSEB was of the view that title deeds should be given to the farmers here. The revenue department will hold two more title deed distribution functions in the district this year.
