After landing at Palasa town, he started visiting the cyclone-affected villages in Vajrapukotturu mandal via road route.

Palasa (Srikakulam district): Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the cyclone affected areas in Srikakulam district on Tuesday to monitor the relief operations personally and restore normalcy on a war footing.

After landing at Palasa town, he started visiting the cyclone-affected villages in Vajrapukotturu mandal via road route. He gave priority to know the problems of people by giving a chance to both young and old to air their views. He repeatedly asked them about their problems and directed the officials to rectify them immediately.

Mr Naidu visited Akkupalle, Pedavanka, Chinavanka, Garudabadra, Sarlagaduru, Bypalle and Dokulapadu and other villages. When he enquired the villagers about water supply, they expressed happiness for providing drinking water by using generators. He instilled confidence among people to restore normalcy, and assured further support from the state government.

Announcing special package to Uddanam region, Mr Naidu said that the state government has been providing highest compensation. He said 15 ministers are touring the various mandals and power supply would be restored in remaining villages on war footing.

Mr Naidu criticised Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for not visiting the cyclone affected regions of Srikakulam district. He said the Central government also failed to come to the rescue of cyclone victims.
