HYDERABAD: The prestigious Command and Control Centre coming up in Hyderabad will become operational by 2018-end, said Hyderabad police commissioner M Mahender Reddy. He was speaking during the launch of SHE shuttles for IT employees in Rachakonda. He noted that the Telangana government was giving priority to the security of women in the state. This has evoked positive responses, he said, and hailed the efforts of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC).

This comes after the success of the Cyber-abad model where more than 3,200 women tec-hies utilise the services. A unique initiative and one of its kind in the country, this smart transport system operates in loops using the GPS and the mobile technology, managed through a real time app. The SCSC gets feedback from users and has set up a special cell with a toll-free number. Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Sha-ndilya and Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat were also present at the launch.
