Hyderabad: Five organs of a youth, 22-year-old Burra Bhasker, were donated to the Jeevandan scheme of the government after he met with a road accident on May 13.
Bhasker was driving on his two-wheeler when a car hit him at Bollaram near the Ayyappa Swami Temple.
He had a severe head injury and was immediately rushed to a private hospital where first aid was given.
He was then shifted to Osmania General Hospital but on May 15, a neurosurgeon declared him brain-dead. His father Kishan Bhasker gave the consent for organ donation. Two kidneys, one liver and two corneas were donated to the government scheme.
