Vijayawada: 171 SSC students did not turn up for exams

About 171 students were absent, with an attendance percentage of 99.69.

VIJAYAWADA: As per the Krishna district educational office K. Rajya Lakshmi, 55,359 students were allotted hall tickets of which 55,188 attended the SSC public examination’s first language paper-II held on Thursday, March 15 at various centres in the district. About 171 students were absent, with an attendance percentage of 99.69.

The district educational officer visited five examination centres, the observer visited three examination centres an a flying squad visited 71 examination centres. According to the DEO, there ware no reports of malpractice from any centre in the district. Examinations were held in 268 centres under the supervision of 2,950 invigilators in the district.

She said that most of the centres are near police stations and treasury offices. All answer papers would be kept in the custody of 62 police stations and 62 custodians have been deployed at the examinations centres, which are far away from the police stations and treasury officers. “In each flying squad team, there will be one officer from the educational department, one from the revenue department, a sub-inspector and one armed reserve police,” she added.

Meanwhile, intermediate public examinations both general and vocational courses conducted peacefully today said RIO here on Friday. He said that 17,134 candidates were allotted hall tickets and 1,422 were absent. He said that no malpractices ware booked on Friday.
