TSPSC told not to declare test results

Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao granted the interim order on a petition by S. Murali of Khammam and D. Mallikarjun of Warangal districts.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court on Friday directed the Telangana government and the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) not to declare results of Teachers Recruitment Test (TRT) with respect to candidates of Khammam and Warangal districts till further orders.

Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao granted the interim order on a petition by S. Murali of Khammam and D. Mallikarjun of Warangal districts.

The petitioners challenged the commissi-on’s failure to carry forward the unfilled posts of secondary grade teacher for handicapped candidates in the recruitment of 2012 to the current one, including in Khammam and Warangal districts.

Counsel for petitioners B. Ramesh submitted that the commission had allotted a post of secondary grade teacher under the PHC quota for Khammam and 10 posts for the Waran-gal district in the current recruitment.

He urged the court to stay the current recruitment and direct the authorities to include the unfilled post and issue fresh notification for the recruitment.

While refusing to stay the recruitment process, the judge directed the respondents not to declare results of Khammam and Warangal districts. He asked the respondents to file their counter affidavits in two weeks.

In fact, five posts in Khammam and nine in Warangal remained un-filled in the 2012 recruitment and the comm-ission did not carry forward those unfilled po-sts to the current recruitment.
