Hyderabad: Student stabbed over eve-teasing

A fight ensued when one of the boys passed lewd comments on the victim's sister.

Hyderabad: An argument between two Class X students over eve-teasing turned ugly and one of them attacked the other with a knife at Nacharam on Tuesday. The incident happened when the victim went to question the accused after the later passed lewd comments on his sister.

The victim is studying in St Mathew’s High School and his younger sister is studying in class IX in the same school. Three days ago, one of his classmates passed lewd comments on his sister.

Offended, the girl informed her brother. As the school was closed for Sankranti holidays, the victim went to his classmate’s house and warned him.

While he was returning, his classmate stabbed him from behind. Passersby noticed the injured boy and rushed him to a hospital.

K. Krishna, a driver and father of the victim, said “Without even thinking for a moment, he stabbed my son, leaving him with a deep injury just below the chest.”

Mr G. Sandeep, ACP Malkajgiri, said a case under the Juvenile Act is registered. “The injured boy is out of danger now. Teams are deployed to trace the boy who stabbed,” he said.

Mr G. Vikram Reddy, general manager of Prasad Hospital where the boy is undergoing treatment, stated that the boy has a deep injury. The knife reached close to the chest and lungs.
