We can sleep well now: NR Narayana Murthy on Nandan Nilekani being CEO

Bengaluru: “Absolutely, all is well. Remember, in my speech with the investors, I said now that we have Nandan as the chairman, we can all sleep well,” Infosys founder N.R. Narayana Murthy said about Nandan Nilekani, CEO of the IT bellwether, shortly after the presentation of the Infosys Prize 2017 here on Wednesday. “His strength lies in simplifying complex ideas.. Having been a good CEO himself, he knows what is required. So, there is no need for advice. Let’s leave it to him and let’s all keep quiet, so that he can do his job well.”

Nilekani, co-founder of the company, was put at the helm in August when former CEO Vishal Sikka quit amid turmoil in the company after a prolonged battle between the Board and the company founders.
