TIRUPATI: Disputes surface in Nellore district BJP. SC leader and acting vice-president of Nellore district Panabaka Koteswara Rao staged protest at the Town Hall in Nellore blocking the BJP SC morcha programme organised by district BJP president P. Surender Reddy.
The programme was scheduled for BJP district Dalit morcha at the Town Hall on Wednesday, and the followers of Panabaka Koteswara Rao protested on the stage while the followers of Surender Reddy tried to stop them, leading to a fight between the two groups and the banners on the stage were also removed.
President of BJP district SC morcha Koteswara Rao alleged that district president P. Surender Reddy is suppressing the Dalits in the party. “A former BJP leader from Nellore managed and postponed the district party election which was supposed to be conducted in 2015, as the wave is against the present president, who is a follower of the former BJP leader,” Mr Koteswara Rao said.
