Kakinada: Accused in MLA murder plot tries to end life

According to the court directives, all the accused had to turn up at the police station between 10 am and 12 pm and mark their attendance.

Kakinada: Nakkala Pandu, main accused in an alleged plot to murder a legislator, attempted to commit suicide by consuming liquor laced with anti-mosquito chemicals on Sunday near Eluru Rural police station limits.

According to the police, Pandu and 10 others were accused of conspiring to murder Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar of West Godavari district on June 10.

The police foiled their plot and arrested eight persons, and Pandu was listed as the main accused. The court granted conditional bail on August 8.

According to the court directives, all the accused had to turn up at the police station between 10 am and 12 pm and mark their attendance.

On Sunday, Pandu went to the police station along with other accused, where officials told him that he should stay back till the station house officer arrives. He went out of the station and consumed liquor after mixing it with anti-mosquito chemicals and fell down.
