Telangana: Protesters want kids readmitted

ABVP activists staged separate protests in front of Sarathi School, Habsiguda and Narayana institutions in ECIL.

Hyderabad: Various private schools in the twin cities faced the ire of parents, students and social organisations on Wednesday for reportedly collecting exorbitant fees.

A three-hour protest was held by the School Fee Regulation JAC in front of Amrita Vidyalayam School at Mahindra Hills. The protestors demanded the school management to take back 27 children from different classes who were issued Transfer Certificates (TCs) without the consent of their parents.

JAC leaders Mr N. Narayana and Mr Aravinda Jata, parents, representatives of students unions like SFI, OU and members of political parties including CPI-M and AAP staged a sit-in protest.

Later the school management held talks with the JAC leaders of taking back students. The school management said that they would rethink their decision if the director of School Education gave word to that effect.

Meanwhile, ABVP activists staged separate protests in front of Sarathi School, Habsiguda and Narayana institutions in ECIL.
