TD saving builder: YSRC

The YSRC announced Rs 50,000 each to the kin of the eight workers.

Amaravati: The YSR Congress leaders alleged that the Telugu Desam leaders were trying to save builder Chukkapalli Ramesh in the soil heaps collapse incident at Guntur.

YSRC leaders led by senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday met the family members of eight persons who died in the collapse of the shopping mall under construction. The YSRC announced Rs 50,000 each to the kin of the eight workers. They alleged that builder Chukkapalli Ramesh is an active leader of the TD and hence the TD government tried to save him and demanded his arrest holding responsible for the death of eight workers.

Mr Satyanarayana alleged that the police did not arrest builder Ramesh due to pressure from the TD leaders and alleged that the TD government gave any approvals which promoted huge constructions by violating norms.

Mr Satyanarayana demanded employment to the kin of the deceased and ex gratia of Rs 20 lakh, pucca house, 5 acres of land and government job to one of the family members. He added that YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will visit the houses of the deceased in a day or two to console the family members.

YSRC state secretary L. Appi Reddy, YSRC district president M. Rajasekhar and others were present.
