Bengaluru farmer blames seer, attempts suicide

Bengaluru: Accusing a seer of trying to grab a land belonging to him, a farmer had attempted to end his life by consuming poison on Saturday.

The farmer has made a selfie video before taking the extreme step and the video was posted on Facebook.

The farmer has been identified as Mahesh, aged around 30 years, and a resident of Kannuru near Kudur in Magadi taluk of Ramanagar district.

He has leveled allegations against Mruthyunjaya Swamy, the seer of Kannuru Makkala Devara Math.

Currently, Mahesh is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nelamangala.

According to his statement, the seer allegedly tried to grab an agricultural land belonging to him and also put a fence around it.

The seer has, however, rubbished the allegations and said that he had no connection with the case and his name was being unnecessarily dragged into the case.

“One of the persons I know wanted to purchase the land and I just discussed the same with Mahesh.

Now, he is making false allegations that I want to grab the land," the seer said.
