Woman sculpture set to dazzle at Gachibowli flyover

The statue, which will be sponsored by ITC, will be reportedly set up by November 20.

Hyderabad: The sculpture of a woman blowing a trumpet with her leg on a drum will be placed under the Gachibowli flyover near the median facing ORR. The statue, which will be sponsored by ITC, will be reportedly set up by November 20.

Commuters using the Outer Ring Road (ORR) will be dazzled by this bright ‘Nirmal’ sculpture of a woman, who represents Telangana art and culture. With the date of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) approaching, artists are giving the finishing touches. The Gadchibowli Flyover will depict paintings of ‘Nirmal’ and the ‘Cheriyal’ paintings of Warangal.

The artists sponsored by Arts Exotica, who worked on the beautification of the road leading to the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) from the mini-Charminar at Hitec city, will now spruce up the Gachibowli flyover.

The director of Arts Exotica, Ms P. Sandhya, who will be directing the art work of this flyover, said, “We will pool all the local talent of professional artists and art students for the paintings.”
