Telangana scraps transfer of IPS officer Singenvar

Even in Nagar Kurnool district, Mr Singenvar acted against the sand mafia and began controlling illegal sand transporters.

Hyderabad: The government withdrew the transfer orders of 2013-batch IPS officer Kalmeshwar Singenvar, who was transferred as SP of Mahbubnagar district.

Mr Singenvar will continue in his present posting in Nagar Kurnool district until further orders, Sources from Mahbubnagar said that there were many reasons for withdrawal of the transfer of Mr Singenvar. “After Mahbubnagar SP went on leave on August 18 he took charge as in-charge for Mahbubnagar district and acted seriously to maintain law and order. After taking charge he instructed enforcement of Section 30 of the Police Act which restricts rallies, public meetings and loud speakers without permission from the police. As Kalmeswar is straight forward some TRS leaders were expressing dissatisfaction to the TRS high command,” the sources said.

Even in Nagar Kurnool district, Mr Singenvar acted against the sand mafia and began controlling illegal sand transporters. “It has become a hot topic in Mahbubnagar after the withdrawal of the transfer orders of Kalmeswar. The government posted a non-cadre additional SP as OSD/SP to Mahbubnagar,” the sources said.

The government transferred additional DCP (admin) of Cyberabad B. Anuradha as Mahbubnagar SP/OSD. She had worked as Cyber Crimes ACP with Hyderabad CCS and Shamshabad ACP. “There were speculations over the transfer of B. Anuradha as district SP before Rema Rajeswari’s long leave. But, the government transferred Mr Singenvar on Tuesday and after a few hours it reissued fresh orders. Singenvar has good command in administration especially in undivided Mahbubnagar as he had worked as ASP in Shadnagar and as nodal officer during the division of Mahbubnagar into Mahbubnagar, Wanaparty and Jogulamba districts,” a source from Mahbubnagar district police said.
