Tamil Nadu: Major reshuffle, three IPS officers promoted as director generals

Sunil Kumar Singh, ADGP, home guards, has been asked to take charge as ADGP EOW, in the place of S R Jangid.

Chennai: After much outcry about delay in promoting the 1985 batch IPS officers as director generals of police in the media, the Tamil Nadu government on Thursday promoted S. R. Jangid, J. K. Tripathy and C. K. Gandhirajan as director generals of police and posted them as vigilance officer, MTC, Chennai, chairman TNUSRB and DG, State human rights commission respectively.

Vijay Kumar, ADGP, TN Police Housing Corporation has been posted as the new ADGP, law & order, in the place of J.K. Tripathy. N Tamil Selvan, ADGP, Coastal Security Group, will be the new head of police housing corporation. K Vaniya Perumal, chief vigilance officer, MTC, will be the new ADGP for Coastal Security Group.

Sunil Kumar Singh, ADGP, home guards, has been asked to take charge as ADGP EOW, in the place of S R Jangid. Karuna Sagar, ADGP, establishments, has been transferred and posted as additional commandant general, home guards.

Rajeev Kumar, ADGP, modernisation, has been posted as ADGP, welfare in the place of Prateep V Philip, who has been transferred and posted as ADGP, civil supplies CID. Vinit Dev Wankhede has been posted as ADGP, modernisation. Rohit Nathan Rajagopal, ASP from Hosur has been promoted and posted as deputy commissioner of police, Adyar, Chennai in the place of Sundaravadivel, who has been posted as DC, high court security.
