Congress leaders denied access again

The Congress leaders had also arranged a meeting with Osmania Students at Haritha Plaza but only a section of the students were issued passes.

Hyderabad: The Shamshabad incident where senior Congress leaders were not allowed inside the airport to welcome AICC chief Rahul Gandhi was repeated at Haritha Plaza where held a meeting with party leaders.

The police initially refused to let many senior leaders including Opposition leader in the assembly K. Jana Reddy, Opposition leader in Legislative Council Shabbier Ali and former minister Sunitha Laxma Reddy to enter the venue, saying that their names were not in the list. However, when they protested, a party leader came out and asked the police to let them inside.

The Congress leaders had also arranged a meeting with Osmania Students at Haritha Plaza but only a section of the students were issued passes. When police objected to the entry of others, the students protested leading to an argument. On Monday at Shamshabad airport, police refused to allow several senior Congress leaders like S Jaipal Reddy enter the airport and receive Mr Gandhi.
