Hyderabad: The TS police was awarded a record 26 medals on the eve of Independence Day. Counter Intelligence Cell SP Rajesh Kumar has been awarded the Police Medal for Gallantry while two cops who died in an exchange of fire with terror suspects were bestowed with the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry.
A senior IPS official said, “The 26 gallantry medals is the highest in the country. The Union home ministry has recognised TS’ contributions to the anti-terrorist drives in the country.”
