Arrangements in place for Eamcet today in Warangal

Biometric attendance system in place; students will not be allowed even 1 minute late.

Warangal: The district administration is ready with all the arrangements required to hold the Eamcet at 41 centres in the district on Sunday. DRO K. Shobha said all arrangements were made at the exam centres to ensure that everything goes off smoothly.

13,232 candidates would take the exam in 27 engineering centres from 10 am to 1 pm and 8,470 students would appear for the exam in 14 centres for medicine from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The RTC is running 105 special buses to take the students to their centres. The medical department has arranged first aid kits and the electricity department have ensured uninterrupted electricity during the exam. Five flying squads have been deployed apart from observers, and special observers.

14 enforcement officers have been appointed. To check impersonation, biometric attendance system is in place at all the centres. Candidates can enter the exam hall one hour in advance but will not be allowed even one minute later.

Electronic gadgets like mobile phones, wrist watches are not allowed inside the exam hall. Candidates are required to submit a copy of the online application form and hall ticket.

Collector Vakati Karuna has launched a helpline number for students. Students who need help can call 0870-2510777. District Medical & Health Officer said they have arranged first aid kits to all 41 centres.

The police department has arranged police bandobast to all test centres, and Section 144 will be in place. Commissioner of police G. Sudheer Babu asked citizens not to use cars during exam hours to ensure traffic-free roads to help the students reach the centres on time. He said additional traffic personnel would be in place at problematic areas like Kazipet Bridge, Adalat centre, and Hanamkonda Crossroads.

The test is being conducted in government educational institutions at Nizamabad, Kamareddy and Armoor towns. Around 11,333 candidates will appear for entrance test. Enforcement and flying squads will visit the examination centers in the district.
