Biometric checks for all Telangana CETs

According to TSCHE chairman Prof.Papi Reddy this decision was taken to ensure there are no instances of impersonations.

Hyderabad: Aiming to bring in more transparency in various Common Entrance Tests to be held over next month, the Telangana State Council for Higher Education has decided to utilise Biometric system in all tests. This is the first time that such technology is being used, according to officials.

The Eamcet is slated for May 2, ICET for May 19, ECET (May 12), LAWCET and PGLCET (May 24) along with a host of other exams. Fingerprint identification will be done using scanners for all the candidates writing the exams. This data would be recorded and checked again at the time of counselling and admission process. According to TSCHE chairman Prof.Papi Reddy this decision was taken to ensure there are no instances of impersonations.
